On February 7, 2019, the VIII scientific and practical conference-exhibition FOOD SAFETY, a key annual event in the field of food safety, was held in Moscow. The venue was chosen exhibition center "Crocus Expo", the area of which allowed to significantly expand the exposure of companies and allocate two halls for the business program.

The event was organized by the Federation of Restaurateurs And Hoteliers, InterConsult, directory for professionals Sanergy.ru, Federal scientific Center of food systems. V. M. Gorbatov.
In the halls of the business program there were lectures and round tables on the most relevant topics in the field of food safety. 14 speakers, representatives of certification bodies, food production, trade and restaurant networks, including Oksana Kuznetsova (FSC of food systems) addressed the visitors. They discussed changes in the legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, the update of international standards, inconsistencies in the food safety management system. The topic of food safety is also important in the implementation of export programs, as the reputation and financial risks of enterprises increase significantly. During the conference, two round tables were held: for representatives of the food industry and network retailers, which discussed the update of the ISO 22 000 standard and risk management in its new version. And the second round table for HoReCa representatives, dedicated to HACCP in public catering, problems in implementation and ways to solve them.

The conference participants noted the new format of the event (separation of sessions for food production and Horeca enterprises), highly appreciated the organization of the conference, interesting and useful program.

The event was attended by about 750 visitors, mainly representatives of food production (heads of enterprises and restaurants, production Directors, quality specialists, chief technologists, sanitary doctors).
High appraisal of the participants and other speakers received a business case for the management of non-conformities based on my own experience from Danone.

In the area of the exposition was represented by 14 leading companies of suppliers and manufacturers. Innovative solutions in the field of food safety were presented, in addition, guests and participants of the conference were able to test products in action and get favorable conditions from companies for cooperation.

In 2020, the organizers want to expand FOOD SAFETY to two days, as the number of visitors wishing to attend the event is growing. The number of speakers who are ready to share their experience with the audience is also increasing. In 2020, it is planned to divide the sessions in accordance with the specifics of enterprises.
